"Stories from the City" speaker series at Concordia University - St. Paul in February, 2017
Immigration & the refugee experience. Homelessness. Sex trafficking and prostitution. Topics we read and hear about in the news or online, but topics that we may not know much about either. Complex topics that do not have easy answers. Topics that seem so overwhelming we can forget that real people in our community are impacted by these things. As Christians, how are we to feel? What are we to think?
How are we to respond?
Monday nights in February CSP students are invited to come to, “Stories from the City,” personal narratives from Christians impacted by complex issues in our community. A chance to listen to their story. A chance to ask questions. A chance to put a real face and name with a real issue. A chance to think about how God is calling you to respond. Featured guests include:
Bob Oehrig, Executive Director of Arrive Ministries, speaking on immigration and refugee experiences.
Annie Schrader, urban ministry leader, speaking on homelessness.
Jennifer Gaines, from Breaking Free Ministry, speaking on sex trafficking and prostitution.
Join us for these FREE speaking events from 8-9 pm in LMC113 on the Concordia University - St. Paul campus, 350 Hamline Avenue North, St. Paul, MN 55104.
No ticket required. All are invited.
“Stories from the City” is sponsored by U4C, who’s missions is to “disciple and equip college students to live out the Great Commission within an urban, cross-cultural context.”
